Is it normal for boys going through puberty to have sexual feelings? Such as having strange pain in testicals? I am thirteen and i have those weird pains. And i have masterbated maybe times in my life and it sorta hurts and feels strange, after i have done it it makes me quickly put my clothes back on and get back to what i was doing. i also get a strange heartbeat too. Can you tell me what my "problem" is or if this "problem" is normal. i have tried to talk to my parents about my "sexual feelings" but they won't answer me about it. Can you tell me about it? Everyone at my school seems to know about everything. thanks.

Finally a question from a 13-year-old that is legitimate and not stupid. Yes, it is very normal for adolescent boys to have sexual feelings. But the pain in your testicles is another matter, and your parents certainly should take you to a doctor to find out why you're having pain. That part isn't normal. Neither is a "strange heartbeat". I'm not trying to scare you, hon, and these symptoms are probably nothing to worry about, but they should still be checked out. If your parents are reluctant to talk to you about your sexual feelings, see if you can talk to some other adult that you trust, such as an uncle, or a counselor at school, or maybe your clergyman. Maybe your parents don't want to talk about sex or masturbation, but have you told them about your symptoms? If not, you should. You need to have a doctor find out if there's something wrong. I'm mostly concerned about the pain. I really don't know what's causing that, but like I said, it's probably nothing serious, but it's troubling your young mind, and that shouldn't be. So try talking to your parents again about the pain, and if they won't listen, talk to another adult. And thanks for asking a legitimate question and not some foolishness. Good luck, son!

Pain in testicles is not normal to my knowledge unless you have brushed them up against something, which I sometimes find hurts worse than a kick. As far as the masturbation, the problem is shame. You are feeling shame and guilt for what you have done. I am not going to say if masturbation is right or wrong, we all have to decide that for ourselves. Feeling shame with he onset of any sexual act is very normal. With everything I've done sexually the only thing I do not feel shame about is sex with my wife. And everyone at your school who thinks they know everything really know nothing. All that I learned about sex for most of my life turned out to be bogus don't believe most of whats on TV or in porn or what you hear in the hallways. If your parents won't talk to you you might try another trusted adult like a school counselor family doctor.

Yes, of course it's normal. How else do you think humans reproduce? Your body undergoes a number of physical and chemical changes as you go through puberty, and sexual feelings are only one of the effects. You can look all this up on the Internet very easily, there's an enormous amount of information on the subject floating around. You can start with Wikipedia:

Yes... it is a normal feeling so do not be alarmed.. Your hormones are running around in every which direction.... I suspect that after you masterbate.. you have a "sort of" guilt feeling.. You should not and as far as your gonads(testicals) you will get varying feelings there but is normal... Hope this puts your worries to rest...

All normal except pain with masturbation. You need one close friend to talk to.

The best thing you can do is have your mom or dad take you to the family doctor & ask him/her about your concerns... I've never heard of the pains either...

You should talk to your doctor as soon as possible. It may be nothing but only your doctor can answer that.

Peace!
