If being an idiot means having no understanding of what he's doing in the world, the answer is yes.

If stealing hundreds of billions of dollars from the American people and resources from the planet means he's greedy, then he's greedy.

If murdering tens of thousands of people to get what he wants means he's a murderer, then he's a murderer.

etc. etc.

I think all presidential cantidates should be subject to an IQ test, a lie detector test and evaluation by a licensed psychiatrist or 3 of each and give them the medium of results. There should also be included a credit check, insurance check and I guess the criminal background check is already done.
I think any president with ties to stocks, bonds, and oil should also be screened for predjudice decisions which could be made to support their personal cause.
Vice Presidents should go through the same scrutiny.
It is like "what happened to government jobs such as reconstruction going up for bids?" Haliburton comes out on top?
Why the gift to the vp? I must have missed something.
By the way, for those who missed it--I think Yale handed out the diploma only after the fact- the man made president. It is not always whether a person attends a college or not but rather ---was their a degree due to passing scores or politics?

Why do people try to second guess who the asker is ? Because they feel if they call you an idiot they won't have to research the answer or try to defend thier point(s) if they even had one to make.

Is Bush an idiot or not ? Sounds like an opinion poll to me .

He is the luckiest flunky I know of .

Yes I think he is an idiot but - I think his handlers are incredibley smart to get an idiot to stand up there and lie to the public . After all Bush believes what he is saying (my opinion) and thats the part that scares me .

I have to say that, yes, Bush is an idiot.I say this based on the dictionary: 1:a mentally retarded person requiring complete custodial care;2:a foolish or stupid person. I think that fits Bush. He may not fit the definition of a retarded person, or to be politically correct, a mentally disabeled person, but he is definately mentally challenged.Has any one who says he's not, ever listened to his speeches? He can't talk.He is a puppet, too.But unlike Pinnochio, Bush will never be a real boy because he lies and will never learn from his mistakes.'Tho in all fairness, he is not the only "puppet" in the world.Anyone who bows down to the wills and opinions of others is a puppet.Unfortunately, being president leaves you few choices in that matter.Being a greedy president with a hidden personal agenda leaves you with even fewer options.I am glad he cannot be re-elected.

I think he is a puppet that is operated by a bunch of idiots. . .

Yes, he is an idiot. But he would look smarter if at least he would be his own man and not let the high ups in the Republican party (like good ol' daddy) tell him how to run things. I would be more receptive if he made his own mistakes rather than making mistakes that others tell him to do.

I don't think he's an idiot. I think he has a distorted view of how most people in the United States live. I believe he honestly believed the US would be greeted as liberators, and not as occupiers in Iraq. I think he's in over his head, and doesn't know how to get out now. But I do agree that we have to stay long enough to make things right. I mean, we screwed it up.

He made it to the presidency of the United States, so although many people may disagree with his policies he at least has that much going for him. Idiot? - no. Pain the derriere? - YES.
