when i built my house ,all the outside light fixtures were put up before the vinyl siding was put on ,so the junction boxes are underneath the siding ,now i am adding a extra light ,need to know what type of wet location junction box to use and how to install it to code and be sealed from wet weather.

The best way to mount lights on siding is the Arlington 8081F and similar boxes (only a small hole for the wire through the OSB/plywood or whatever). See http://www.aifittings.com/k_4.htm

LOL I just installed this very same thing today.
What the person above me answered is correct. Just make sure that you cut the siding back far enough so that your gasket gets a good seal on your box, tighten your fixture down and last step is use some caulk that matches color of your siding to seal around the fixture and the siding.

You don't need a special wet location box. Buy and "old work" 4" round plastic box, cut hole, put wire in box, place box in hole, install light. The light needs to be designed for exterior use. Your real problem will be to support the light without causing the siding to flatten.
