Castrol GTX Magnatec. Superb stuff that uses teflon to stick to the insides of th eengine when it's off, minimising wear on components when you start up the engine again.

Either that or any other oil with Slick 50 - does the same thing, turns your engine into a non-stick pan!

Both can result in your engine running smoother.

take it from someone who hauls oil in tankers. i go to the plants that bottle oil and what i see is wal-mat and target oil bottles coming down the same line that the other name brands are being bottled. the only dif is the weight. the best type oil is the total synthetic but even this is no advange in a older motor. don't waste your money on name brand oil or gas because it all has to meet gov. req.

I like the comment above about quaker state.... quaker state is owned by pennzoil, both owned by shell !!! lmao.... not a thing wrong with either oils...

I'd have to go with pennzoil platinum or mobil 1 for synthetics, as they are cheaper and very easy to find, and do just as good as the big ones....
For conventional..... I like pennzoil or havoline... valvoline is "ok" they just tend to use the least additives of any oil out there...
