I am not proud of being an american indian. I dont like the way I look with my big nose and tan skin. And i feel like i am looked down upon sometimes just becuase Im an indian and a minority. Why cant I just be white like everyone else, it sucks!

You were made in the image of God. God does not make bad stuff. He is Perfect and all he creates has the potential to be perfect. In fact, you are perfect in His eyes.

You are the only "you" that you have. God loved you so much that he only made one of you. I am not a christian or a bible thumper but I believe in a higher power. And my higher power loved me so much that he made me. He/She also has to have a sense of humor, cause I am a mess most of the time. You must love yourself before anyone else can.
You should be very proud of being an American Indian. After all you are the "true" Americans. We are just interlopers.

We are who we are. Luckily we are the only one of our kind. Some, we may think are better off than we are or better than we are for this reason or the next but that is just in our own minds. We are, in fact, our own worst critic. Ignorant people make it a point to put down people that aren't like them, but they'll never be just like you. Nobody can. The more you learn to appreciate what make you YOU, the more you'll realize that you are a work in progress just like everybody else.

well u cant be white, so live it wit. seriously, u gotta be proud of who u are, especially about ur skin color, cuz thats sumthin u cant change. my sister used to think like that. she used to be ashamed that shes hispanic n always wished she was blond n blue eyed cuz barbies were always blond, princesses n watever on cartoons were always blond, celebrities n models were always blond, stuff like that. then she found out that a lot of people thought blonds are dumb. so even if u were white, u'd still feel like u were gettin looked down on n probably be sayin how u wished u were tanner, n how u think u get mistreated by other races, watever stuff! no matter wat color u are, you'll still deal wit racism. theres no such thing as a perfect race

You poor thing. Look in the mirror and say over and over again, "I approve of myself." and say it in your head when ever you can. Eventually you will believe it. And, you should be proud of who you are! Please love yourself as often as possible with kind words!
