I assume you know your friend has 0 loyalty to you/therefore you need to let her know what a big mouth she has and the trust isn't there anymore. I would also try to let it blow over. If your boyfriend and you get into an altercation about this, you will need to be honest. The truth is the only way to go without it biting you in the butt somewhere down the line. Keep it real. Luck to you

After realizing that the best friend is actually the best backstabber. The ex-bestfriend aka new-backstabber can be ignored and make sure the message sent. The boyfriend can talk about it and he'll be a man and decide wether to stay or not.

so, you still like your ex.

I think mature honest people have to deal with that sort of thing and accept it. What matters more is what agreements are made to each other as a couple, and what ones get broken. Honesty and trust must be there or you don't have much anyway. Maybe your friend is just clearing the air.

If your boyfriend is secure in your relationship, then it shouldn't be a big deal. You've been with him for three years. Explain to your boyfriend if he makes a big deal about it that HE is the one that you have chosen to be with.
