Well obviously getting away from the life sucker that is Answers will help.

From the experts:
Use what you WANT to do as the reward for finishing your work. Don't watch a movie first. Save it for after you've done your homework.

Work in a clean, well-lit area. Work on a flat surface like the kitchen table. Doing your homework on a bed will only get your brain thinking about sleep. That's what beds are for, afterall.

Don't work around distractions. Work in a room by yourself if possible, AWAY from the computer and TV.

Oh, and eat a snack first. No sense in thinking about cookies when you're trying to get your test done.

I know studying can be hard at times but keep applying yourself. Here are some suggestions for you to try. First go to the school counselor and ask if she/he has any help with studying and doing homework . Try to find someone to study with you and you can quiz each other. Mostly when it comes to homework just apply yourself. You can get it done. You know you can. You are a smarty pants so quit worrying and get going..

First of all you have to have pride in your self and your work. I am a teacher and it drives me nuts when kids either don't do their homework or give me crap that they put no effort in. I just finished grad school and I was working a full time job at the same time. It was tough, but one of the main things that kept me going when I didn't want to do my homework was saying, "My work represents me and how do I want my teachers/professors to see me...lazy or hardworking."
I also treat myself to a new CD, shopping, or fast food when I am finished with my homework or I get a good grade.

Go look at people sleeping under bridges.
Check out homeless shelters.
Take a drive thru the poorest sections of your town.
If you want a life like this stay ignorant and motivated

Lots of different ways. It depends on what works for you.

#1) The grade could be a motivator, but it doesn't sound like it for you.
#2) Break the work up into chunks. When you finish a specific chunk/amount, reward yourself with something. Watch some TV, play a game, eat something.
#3) Have a parent stand over you staring at the back of your head until it is done.

I personally recommend #2)

It took me a longlonglong time to enjoy learning through the school system. I respect your bored apathy. However, since it is character-building to finish what you start, try this:
think of anytime you did something you thought you couldn't do, or pushed yourself (whether you hated it or wanted to try) . . . remember the terrific feeling at the end? The glory? The satisfaction of success, when we push ourself to do a thing? Try to recapture the awareness of how da-- good it feels to make a personal accomplishment. Someday it'll translate into $$$, when you get paid for doing what you love. Good luck. ps/you're gonna' make yourself smarter, too, yippee!

My motivation is if I don't do it now, I'll have to do it later anyway! And you will get a worse grade if you do it later!!!!!
Think of it this way!
If you don't turn in your homework you will get a bad grade!
If you get a bad grade your parents will be mad and punish you!
If you are punished you won't be able to do fun stuff!
Now do you have motivation!!!
