Why are they osessed with taking away the freedoms of others and imposing their religion on everyone?

Let's see limiting abortion/contraception. Banning gays from having legal recognition of their relationships and taking away partner benefits. Attempting to post religious text in every courthouse....is that enough or do you need more? All in the name of religious convictions.

I am not sure that Jesus would like a great number of people who call themselves Christians in our country today.

Hmmm lets see.....
Abortion? Being against killing babies before they come out of the mother? Nothing to be ashamed of there.
Birth control? Only the Catholics have been against it.
Taking away partner benefits? They didnt have them to begin with because theyre not a true family unit. How can you take something away that they have never gotten?
Gay marriage? Ya maybe we should be protecting the definition of marriage. Marriage isnt between 2 men, 2 women, 1 man 2 women, 1 man 1 dog, 1 woman 1 horse, 1 man and TV, it is between 1 man and 1 woman.
We need to hold on to conservative values and morality or this country wont be worth fighting for.

What freedoms do christians take away? Hmm lets see maybe murdering babies, or wanting to have traditional marriage between a man and a woman. Or wanting the ten commandments in public places so children can learn the difference between right and wrong. I think its wrong to steal, kill, lie, and to sleep with a married person. I guess its wrong to honor your parents, hey. We christians dont impose our religion on anyone, our country was based on christianity, better not look at your money, it might offend you! We dont attempt to post religious text. Its been their for hundreds of years.

Christians Love America !! Where in hell did you dig that one up at ?? We value our Freedom and are being Loyal to all. God is our main source and America is built on the foundation of religion. Our forefathers worked hard to build this country up and most of it is built on Christianity. So anyone who can't stand the Christians in the Great United States, can get on a boat and head back to their own homeland. Christians have never took Freedom away from anyone, so that is a big fabricated LIE !!
UNITED WE STAND ! If foreigners, don't like us or this Beautiful land of the FREE, they can hit the waterways. So to answer your no knowledge question, Christians LOVE both religion and FREEDOM !!! GOD BLESS AMERICA !!

I am an atheist but I have never seen a christian act the way you describe.
It is the Islamofascists that would kill you and your children for not accepting Islam. Like the pope said you will either convert to Islam via the sword or die by the sword.

You are asking an accusitory question. Christians do not hate America. Christians do not want to control you because they believe God gave you free will to choose what you want to do with your life. If we impede on your God given will to free choice, then we take away your ability to chose to live your life contrary to his teachings. People try to convert others out of concern for their souls, but ultimatley, you choose what you want to do. Christianity is not the enemy you should fear...fear the ones that "convert by the sword"
