Someone that is close to me accused me of doing something that I honestly did not do. They confronted me with it today and I told them that I did not do it. I could tell that they did not believe me. I don't know what to do, because I am agonizing over this. I keep telling myself that they are the one with the problem, not me. But, I am really upset by this.

Ignore them, forget it about that. You are not guilty.Be happy, smile and do not waste your time;thinking in those bad people.God bless you and give you the peace, and love, you need right now.

THe bible gives a way to solve this problem.

The first part has already been done. You were confronted by the person who felt you had harmed them in some way.

Because this did not resolve the issue, you must now bring it to your pastor. A meeting with you, the other person and your pastor should bring a resolution to the matter.

I wish you well, and remember to pray for that person and their hurt feelings as well as your own.

Ignore them because they won't listen to you for a while. Tell them they should not have asked if they weren't going to believe you. They will realize they were wrong afterwards.

Is there any way to prove that you are innocent? It would be nice if you didn't have to prove your innocense, but if you can, do it. I would then remind your "friend" that true friends don't accuse others, but trust them.
