Once you look at your finances of expenses, you will know how many you need to reach your break even point at whatever point in time you have projected. Use that figure and do everything in your power to solicit that number of customers. You may need to offer a limited engagement offer at a discount to the first 20 or 50 or 100 customers that sign up with you but that's cool. It will generate revenues immediately which you will need to get to that break even point. After that is reached, you can go at the higher price. Offer referral discounts as people sign up to bring their friends. Make sure your business plan includes ways that you can offer outstanding customer service. The customers pay your bills so always keep that in mind to make them happy. Make sure you get lots and lots of insurance in that industry because lawsuits are very common.

Shibi is right. You also need to study the flow of human traffic and the type of people that moves around your salon. That will help.
