It's not just in the fall this happens. The new growth leaves still have that cranberry red color but the others gets a greenish tint to them. Why is that?

Sometimes the amount of sun reaching the leaves will affect color. Occasionally a tree/shrub like this will produce an all-green branch. All you can do is prune it off.
