Why aren't some of us facing the facts on racism?

IM BOUT TO COMMENT ON BOTH BLACK AND WHITE RACE.SOME PEOPLE IN THE BLACK RACE WANT STOP BRINGING UP RACISM BECAUSE THEY DONT REALIZE THAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST WHICH MEANS YOU HAVE TO LET IT GO AND SOME WHITE PEOPLE ARE DENYING THAT SLAVERY NEVER HAPPENED AND THEY HAVE TO REALIZE IT DID HAPPEN AND JUST ACCEPT IT.I CAN PREDICT THAT SOMEBODY IS GOING TO GET ON HERE AND SAY SOMETHING NEGATIVE ABOUT MY OPINION BUT IF YOU DO REPLY IN A NEGATIVE WAY IT MUST MEAN THE COMMENT IS APPLYING TO YOU.ANYWAY WHAT I WANT TO REALLY SAY IS EVERYBODY NEEDS TO JUST GET ALONE.

ITS A SHAME THAT IM ONLY SIXTEEN AND IM THE ONE TO SAY WE ALL NEED TO GET ALONE.A GROWN PERSON SHOULD KNOW THIS.

IM REFERRING TO THE PEOPLE THAT ARE DOING IT.COME ON PEOPLE THIS IS A OPINION DONT GET ALL NEGATIVE.

Besides talking to both the blacks and whites it should be mention to all races living on this planet that they need to resolved the issue of racism once for all. When and if that ever come to past then we will have peace on this earth. Reason most people in general don't want to face the real facts of racism is because they don't want to get involved in stoping the cancer that is hurting, killing and/or destroying everyone living here. I can tell you this; slavery did exist despite what anybody says. All as a race needs to f***ing grow up and grow up soon before its too late.

Face it racism is never going to end. I have worked with people of all colors and was married to an Chinese man that I loved dearly. In fifty years or so there will be racism because someone regardless of race is going to hate someone else because of what they percieve as a wrong. Some Blacks are still going to hate Whites because they see us as oppressors and some Whites are going to hate Hispanics because alot of them do not speak English as a primary language. Muslims are going to hate Jews and Christians for the Crusades. If you and I were best friends then some third party may come in and see that as a threat and break us apart. The best thing to do is try and learn more about others culture so we can understand them better.

Well racism will get worse if the people get "alone". Unless they get a LOAN. Then everyone will be happy!

All jokes aside, racism still exists and it is still perpetuated in america. We should not pre-judge each other or dislike each other based on race, however, it still happens and we should not ignore it or tolerate it.

I admit that I am more likely to tolerate a racially derrogatory statement from a black person towards a white person or towards another black person than I am from anyone white.. unless they are making the statement against other white people.

listen honey as it looks you are a young black female, for one you will not get any where in life because you are a black female unless you try and try and try and are okay with not getting any where with anything unless your try 100 times or more, ok listen to this too, i am a black women also, and the reason why most black people are stuck on the old days of rasisim is beasue know matter how da*m intelligent, no matter how da*m smart we "look", no matter how da*m civil, respectful, sophitcated we are we will be looked down opon becuase we are black, and will be called a ni**er at least one time in our life, and will get into some type of trouble, we didnt cause, just because we are black, its gonna be like this a long time girly and i know i dont like it and you dont and many other people dont, but thats the way it is and its very sad... and i dont know why the white people wont let it go, maybe becuase the way they were raised or b/c ONE black person has done something wrong to them or someone in their family in their life, i am not sure...

In the 21st century United States, "racism" is a tool used by a few political leader wanna-bes to incite black people to anger and unrest. Even in the deep south, it is no longer an issue as regards employment, marriage, home ownership, or any IMPORTANT guage. It is, however, a useful tool to agitate uneducated citizens of all races. If you have an education, help others ignore the windbags like Jesse Jackson, who raised himself up by putting his hand in the blood of a REAL man and waving at a camera!

We realized that it happened in the past, but racisim still exist. I don't blame everything some does to me on race. But there have been a few occasions where i have experienced racism. So i try to let it go, but if people still practice rasicm, then i can't just let it go if its happening to me everyday. White people don't deny that slavery happened that just don't see why it has such a big affect on our lives. I can't believe you as a black female would make this comment, beacause we have it twice as hard. Being woman and black. No, this comment does not apply to me, but I wanted to correct you. I believe you made this statement out of ignorance or lack of knowledge. You can only speak on what you have experienced and you have obviously not experienced failing a class just because you are the only black person in that class. So I'm just allowing you to see a different side than your own. PS bobert whoever you are. black people are not scary. I'm more scared of white people than black people. The images you see in the media and on TV are not all black people. I'm very educated at the age of 14 and all of my friends are too. My IQ is better than alot of the white people at my school. So maybe you should check your facts. The reason why africa is in poor shape is because of the Europeans. They came in and seperated Africa into individual conutries combining tribes that were supposed to be combined, causing confusion. Coming in and taking slaves for the greed of money. And after all of that of course we would be in bad shape. America is succesful now because of blacks. Without our backbreaking labor increasing the wealth of this country we wouldn't be where we are today. You might need to check out some sites of black inventors. Unfortunately alot of the things we made we didn't recieve credit for, so it might be hard, but trust you me you will find that we in fact helped build America just as much as white people. Your skin color does not determine how smart you are, how poor you are, how weak you are. My skin color makes me stronger to know that my ancestors fought hard for me to go to school and aquire the knowledge that I need to accomplish my goals in life. so, please bobert check your facts. Racism will never go away if you know the facts about black people for instance you would understand why

Fact: Blacks have a lower IQ than any other race.
Fact: More blacks are in jail than any other race, in the US almost half of people in jail are black.
Fact: Africa the homeland of blacks is in horrible shape, it was in better shape when whites were controlling it.

Just look at these links on world poverty, and illiteracy rates. then ask yourself if these are the kind of people you want running YOUR country. And notice white controlled countrys (U.S. canada, australia, europe, and most of the time russia)are the best.

Let's just say, that if we forget about what happened in the past then we are destined to make the same (or similar) mistakes again in the future. Yes, slavery happened. I don't think anyone is denying that. But we (as a country and as a people) need to stop living in the past and make our neighborhoods, our communities, our states and our country the best it can be!
