black sabbath ,
hate to tell ya , but it is about $300 as opposed to $3000 and much much more if she has to get a Csection, which could go anywhere from $8000 to $15,000 depending on the hospital, down time and complications.
Reality sucks, doesn't it?

Adam,
Yeah, well, in grown up land, $hit happens, and people have sex, it's happened all through history and will continue to happen,
When the deed is done, it's done. When a new life has begun, what then?
Many girls are afraid for numerous reasons and stigmatizing poor girls for fear of being a "welfare queen" causes abortions, as well as no health insurance.
You and the con repub ilk should be ashamed, through your philosophy, women want to get more abortions.

have any of you lived as a ward of the state or know someone who has? people say oh adoptions an option, and sure it is. but not every one gets adopted. and the state is cold and cruel. your treated like a number alot of the time and there are just as many pedophiles that have a hand in taking care of children in the state as there are on the street. not to mention the tax burden. now is abortion wrong? i don't know. is it a sin? i cant say. but one thing i know for certain is that, its between that woman and her maker. not her and any one else!

Have the baby, there are plenty of couples in our country who want to adopt. So many, that they go to Russia, china and other countries for children.
I am not saying that I am pro or anti abortion. I just don't agree that the stigma of being a welfare mother has any bearing on the choices. There are lots of people out there who are Proud to welfare mothers, welfare families and proud to say that their families have been on welfare for three generations. And, a baby can be delivered on an emergency basis, so health insurance has no bearing there either. And as a matter of fact, even with insurance, a mother delivers and is usually discharged after forty eight hours, so insurance doesn't buy any luxuries

It sounds like you made the decision of not going on welfare. You sound like a strong person. There are so many welfare babies and mothers out there living a very poor way of life with no chance to enjoying a great life ...boys get girls pregnant..and they make a decision to disappear..girls therefore should have the right to not be obligated and on welfare for the rest of their lives. Females are accused of being murderers/ by ending the pregnancy...strange how males are accused of nothing; yet they are the first to run away from this very difficult responsibility.

Um...there are tons of free clinics, esp. in areas where the demographics would tell you that people don't have healthcare, but to get to your other point, i don't think there are all that many that had abortions so that they wouldn't have to go on welfare-that seems like such a moot point. I'm sure if you were to look at the evidence, the majority of single mother births are prob to girls who have been on welfare already or are familiar enough w/ it to not look at it as a stigma. In fact its not a stigma unless you are lying to the system and really don't need it; if you need public assistance there is no shame in getting it.

What's so bad about that? This world is horrendously overpopulated, and the United States welfare system and adoption system is innundated with unwanted children. I agree that it's a human life, and in the right circumstances, children should be kept. But if there is no loving family and warm home to be born into, it is kinder to not allow the birth.

Putting a child up for adoption can be free. In CA. you can go to the ER for delivery they have to take you in. You can leave the baby with them no questions asked. (It is the Law) Many clinics will provide free prenatal service's. You can leave the baby at a Police station and they can not hold you. We want the babies alive and well.

how many of them had the option of keeping their legs closed but chose not to. there is always adoption.
I dont think any "girls" did i think most where women.
might i recment looking at the stats then following your feminazi demigods.. the number one reason for abortions "in gorwn up land" is inconveniance, not rape and not poverty, just "oh i dont feel like being a mom so screw the child and suck it out of me. How come there are more women against abortion than for it.
do you really know what it does to the human body?
