i really don't want to shave it off, i mean, it'll just grow in darker! i really don't want to wax, cuz it'll still grow in darker. i can't bleach my hair without bleaching my skin. it's nothing to go to the doctor over, but i really want to do something about it.

im really not that self concious about it, it's just that it would be nice if they were'nt SO dark. i won't shave, i know people who shave thier arms, they look like monkeys once it grows in again. laser is way to expensive for me, so i just wanted some home remedies that might make it lighter. thanks for all of your input!

Well, if you want to take out the hair on your arm because it bothers you, go ahead. But if you want to take out the hair only because you're too self-conscious, think again.

if it really is a major issue for you, look into lazer hair removal or waxing. Waxing will take multiple sessions ( im talking like 15-20 to completely get rid of the hair but it should be reduced and a little light after each time) whereas lazer hair removal will take MAYBE 6. So the costs end up being about equal. A lot of doctors/hospitals offer the hair removal. It is usually reasonably priced. You can get the waxing done at any full service salon or day spa.

It is not a myth! It does grow back thicker and darker. I treat skin daily and it does grow back worse.

Are you really that self-concious about it? It's your hair. Leave it. If not, shave.

Laser treatments are out there but that is expensive and many process to go through.

i have seen older ladies arms that in their day, shaving arm hair was the thing to do....their arms looked like a mans' face with 5 o'clock shadow. thick, stubly hair. not very pretty at all! I have a lot of arm hair--was embarrassed about it in my teens, but I got over it. just leave it alone & don't let other peoples opinions bug you

its a myth that hair grows back darker/thicker. total myth.
i would either wax, or laser treatments for a more permanent effect.

Find a partner that don't care or has hairy arms themself. Don't shave or wax it. You will get addicted and become upsessed.
