As a Yankee fan I'm happy to say that Papelbon is done for the freaking year. Hey Bosux fan better luck next year.

He won't be back. He said that he was done unless something great happened. If the Red Sox were now 2 to 3 games out, he would have come back. He is a great starter. I saw him last year in August when he was starting.

He will not be back this year. There is no point to rush him back as the Red Sox have zero chance to make the playoffs. Look forward to seeing him next season.
