Tools, Options, Privacy, History, Clear Title History now.

Open Internet Explorer
Click on Tools in the menu
Go to Internet Options
Click on the "Clear History" button
You may also want to delete files and cookies while there

Tools> Internet Options> Delete Cookies (i think cookies are what remembers the search history).

Tools> Internet Optons> Clear History if that doesn't work.

cookies, these are used to store information on your computer. Windows has my cookies in a directory similar or the same as this: WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Cookies
Some websites need cookies to work correctly with your computer, I do not like how my office does this with the portal there
