My friend breast feeds her daughter all the time anywhere her daughter just climbs up on her and latches on. It sickens me to see it and it makes my friend very upset but she can't seem to get this child off her breast. She throws such tantrums is there any suggestions?

yeah here's a suggestion, just let her throw her tantrum and eventually she'll get over it just like she would with a bottle. I think three is entirely to old to be breast feeding.

What's wrong with any mother feeding her child? Even if the girl is 3 already---mother's milk is the best a mother can give her child. If you have a problem with that, that is your problem, not hers.
Since the child will have to go to school pretty soon she'll be waned off anyway. I don't understand this hippocryte stuff---we are born naked, come out of our mother's vagina but yet, we want to make a big issue out of children being breastfed too long, or children seeing us naked---this is all a bunch of b.s. This mother gives her child what the child needs---and this is a fee country---you do not like what you see, look away....

Your friend has big time problems. Don't women stop producing breast milk around 6 months after delivery. Really not sure of timing, but three years sounds like Guinness record. If other children haven't come along.

she can only scream so loud and for so long...if mom is having a problem with this it's about time for her to realize that she is the parent, she makes the rules and if she doesn't want a four year old parasite attached to her breast she should probably take charge of the situation now

No she is the crazy one. Someday she will be looking for a mother-of-the-bride dress with a droppable bodice so she can feed her daughter as the daughter goes up the aisle for her wedding.
She should try giving the daughter some solid food like cereal or strained fruits.

I'm with you honey, I think ANY woman who Breast feeds after like a year old is doing it for self-gratification, If they wanna use breast milk fine! PUMP IT AT HOME! I DON"T WANNA SEE your 10 year old hangin on your boob, THAT'S JUST WRONG!
