speaking as a former master control technician at a local television studio with a major network affiliation, i can tell you that at that station, they got the "dailies" off the fax or internet, generated by the "nielsen ratings." it's called "share of the market" literally. hoped this helped!

It is magic you know each radio receiver has a chip inside that tell's the radio station where your tuned in to. You did not know that they invaded your privacy like that? Then turn off your radio! Jus Kiddin

I guess every radio has a sensor made to alery radio stations that we are listening to them.
