I went to Belfast for the first time about 3 weeks ago, and I enjoyed the city very much! I stayed in the Days hotel and it was a very clean, lovely hotel just on the edge of the city.

I went on the tour bus and found out some interesting political histories of Belfast and the divide. Saw some great murals painted on the walls, and took some lovely pictures around the city, through to the Botanic gardens and Queens University.

There's also some good choice of entertainment close by. The City Hall is a great centre piece of the city, especially beautiful at night as the lights shine on the building. Everything is within walking distance. I went during the time when the bbc was featuring the night at the Proms and hearing that whilst walking through Belfast in the evening with your partner in hand was a joyous occasion.

It was also the time when I had one of the best meals I've ever had. I had a ribbed steak at the Ten Square hotel/restaurant and although a bit pricey for my liking, compared to London it was absolute bargain.

Will definitely go there again, can't get enough of the local accent and may even consider moving there.

I've never been and whilst I initially thought it seemed like a good idea, it appears no one else on here agrees.
