If not, what is the best way to make sure that all traces of past downloaded and visited websites are deleted?

download the cleaner from this site >> http://www.ccleaner.com It's a free program to delete all junk from your system

Deleting the cookies and files will get rid of the websites, but whatever it is that you downloaded will still be on your pc unless you go and find it and "delete" it or "uninstall" it.

Assuming you deleted you downloads, yes. And while your at it clear your history (open Internet Explorer, click tools, internet options. clear history.

To most people it is gone, but for the computer technician, its right in front of their eyes.
