Georgie remind me of what truth? that the yankees have won as many world series in the last 20 years then the tigers have in their existence? And if im correct i believe yankees owned tigers this season with a 5-2 record, almost sweeping them in a 4 game series at their home park.

Actually, since everybody celebrated the end of the century on December 31st, 1999, then this is not true. The Yankees won the World Series in 2000, and were there in 2001 and 2003 but lost. So, the Yankees have been to 3 WS in the 21st century and won 1 of them. This year, they will become the first multiple WS champions of the 21st century.
Oh yeah, one other thing, the Yankees have the best record in the AL and are tied for the best record in the majors.
P.S. - The only thing funnier then the Tigers are Tigers "fans".

Hey -I've been a Tiger fan for 35 years and have always loved the games between the Yanks and Tigers! Red sox were always a great series too! Wish the league had NOT went to this Central division crap and left the Tigers in the AL east!

Just a little friendly trash talking. We will see the Yankees in the playoffs. Tigers currently beating KC 15-0. Both city's have great sports teams and a lot of history.

Isn't it awesome how any sports fan can enjoy their fifteen minutes in the sun and get their chance to dish out the same stuff they've been gettin over the years?
Everyone knows the Tigers have been floor mats the last couple of decades. Allow their fans to jump on this year's bandwagon and have their fun.
It is uncertain when all of this will pass their way again.

Well considering the way the Tigers have been playing since the All Star break, they are in serious danger of not even winning thier division, I think the Twins will win that division. The Tigers may have to settle for the wild card.

It's not right to live in the past, you have to live for the moment, it would not be very nice to bring up the 2003 Tigers and their 43-119 record being called the worst American league team ever.
