If you are using Windows XP please press ctrl alt delete keys at the same time. This will bring up the Windows Task Manager. Using your mouse, move the cursor/arrow to the performance tab and click the left mouse button once.
You will see a box for CPU Usage and a graph for CPU Usage History.
Using your mouse click on the Processes tab to see how much CPU each process is using. Click the left mouse button once. From this screen your can click on image name to sort ascending or descending by image name you can also click on CPU to sort ascending or descending by percent cpu usage and you can click on Mem Usage to sort ascending or descending to see memory usage by each process.

hit control alt and delete at the same time when the task bar comes up there will be another tab there click it and it will be right there on the bottom

One way I follow disk space used is to run defragmenter tool that comes with Microsoft programs since 98 second ed. If you want to see how much one file is using click on properties.
