Any other women on here feel totally degraded
when a man says that you can't:
-do something that you really can do but he's convinced that you can't? How rude, isn't it? If you say you can do something, obviously you CAN, wow.. please get over yourself if you're too insecure that you can't let a woman do something that she can do.
-can't do certain things because you're a girl? (fits in with the first one, I guess.)
-you can't drive certain vehicles because you're a girl? First off, yes, I can. Driving abilities aren't based on gender anyway, so what the heck are you talking about? Some men are better drivers than some women, and some women are better drivers than some men. Deal with it.
-when a man says that a man is superior to women?-- now this one really pisses me off. Go to China if you can't agree with the U.S.A.'s constitution which states that ALL people are equal.
People's ignorance really, really frustrates me.
Who else agrees with this?

Don't get me started...uh too late. What is it with men that they have to put women down. The only answer they feel inferior, that's what they say about everyone that puts someone down. I have worked in a male dominated field most of my life and they could never accept that I might know something they didn't. Oh I could go on and on. I am so effing sick of it.
In their defense, this is something that started so long ago. They are trained this way, and get much ribbing if they are "beat by a girl" i.e. lesser person. Slowly but surely this is changing in the world and the stronger will someday take over. I don't think I will live to see it though.
And, actually there is a small group in China who let the woman run things. The men know that women don't create as much problems and the women can have has many lovers as they want... I watched a video about them in an anthropology class and it was awesome.

I agree with your statement overall. The part you said that some men are better than some women, and some women are better than some men -- just how many men are good enough to even be allowed to drive in the Indy 500? I am not, but there has been several women there.
I also liked the part where you said "ALL people are equal".
Does this mean women are going to start registering for Selective Service when they are 18, as men must do?
In fact, this inequality is actually a very sound reason for men to believe women aren't equal to men. I love the look on young men's faces when they turn 18 and realize what just happened to them. From birth, they have heard shrill angry statements from females, akin to your "question" that women are equal to men.
One day, they turn 18, and realize they just had to do something women don't have to do. This can turn a male feminist into a male chauvinist pig.
The answer is to stop the angry shrill comments, and contact your Federal legislators; march up and down, and demand women must also register for Selective Service.
What you have now is what I call Pick-N-Choose equality, which is an oxymoron.

First of all, the person who answered this question prior to me, does not know what a feminist is. A feminist is concerned with equal rights of MEN AND WOMEN, not just women. That said, there are plenty of men and women who feel the opposite gender is inferior - this is called prejudice. Prejudiced opinion is the expression of an individual who happens to be ignorant of the facts. Learn to shut out all negative information and you will be a happier individual - and in time, you won't have time for these unfortunate situations. Good luck!

I prefer to point at their zipper area and laugh.
Why let them get you upset and frustrated? That's what they are trying to do! I grew up with 3 brothers, so I never really had to deal with feeling inferior to men...that bird does not fly in my family. Our father respected our mother, and my brothers learned to do the same. Yes, they joke about being superior, but they grew up around women with a healthy sense of humor.
Some day you will understand your power, grasshopper. ; )

Well, there is a difference between confidence and delusion. Just because a man says he can give birth to a baby, does that mean he can? Well, there are really certain things men really do better than woman. Don't blame men, blame nature.

No. When I was a captain in the Army and was an MP I had no problems with being inferior to men. Let me make it clear for you. There are certain jobs women cannot do as well as men period! I had rank on alot of my subordinates but when it came to handling drunk soldiers I took orders from sergeants. I don't care what they say.. a 125lb woman is no march for a man who is high and beating his wife. You cannot pull your 9mm out to subdue him because chances are he is going to take it from you and possibly turn it on you. Also, when we had to go into the field for exercises. In order to gain the confidence of my men I tried to lift a Mk 19 40mm grenade launcher and put it into the pintle of a Hummer and it felt like it weighed as much as I did. I could barely lift the ammunition box onto the rear of the vehicle much less the weapon itself.
Women in the military have no need to do jobs that require them trying to to be equal to men like military police, combat engineers, infantry, or any other combat arms field. Women in the military or law enforcement should stick to desk jobs.

YES, that is really irritating. So what if guys have more muscle mass and have different brains from us? We are all EQUAL, even if our traits are different. Nobody's inferior to another person, and women are NOT inferior to men. "Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission."

It depends. Can I solve a math problem? Yes. Can I lift 250 pounds? Hell, No. Can I be a productive worker? Yes. Will I be the next Einstein? I doubt it.

I don't care what other people think about my gender or my capabilties. I wasn't put here on earth to make other people happy or to live up to other people's expectations.
