PARIS (Reuters) - France's Defence Ministry said on Saturday it could not confirm a newspaper report quoting French secret services as saying al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden had died but would launch an inquiry into the leak of secret papers.

don't pop the cork on that bottle just yet....i think we should wait and see what our own investation into the leak turns out to be,,,,but that would be the best news huh?

Even if so, there will be another wrongly-educated, superstitious maniac along any day now. The world is full of them, and it's about time we put a stop to them. I include Bush and Blair in that sentiment.

He'll either be declared dead or somehow else "under wraps" at least through the upcoming Congressional elections. Afterwards, the truth (either way) will be revealed.

bin laden is dead, so what there are more people willing to take his place. and rejoicing in someones death only makes you as bad as some of these fanatics, you are only fuelling there rage what ever happened to peace?

when one leader dies, another takes his place...
we need to negotiate a peace and change people's thinking...
one way is to stop stereotyping people...
but this is how warhawks get young people to sacrifice their lives for a war that is based on a lie...

I hope so. But even if he is how long will it take for some other dilapidated ignorant "leader" to take over? Doesn't mean it's over.
