I have to confess.I did go into the book store in the mall the other day...pen and paper in hand and I did sit indian style in one of the aisles and I did get a book full of web addresses and I did copy them down on my paper..all without buying the book, just so I could go home and look up all of Matthew whats his names places that say you can get stuff from the government...you see the book was like 30 dollars and turns out the guy is full of you know what and it was all a waste of time for me and my patience that day......i have to confess......

well technically no not if the book is not shrink wrapped which if people continue to read whole books in stores they may do. It does however alter the book, it can no longer be considerd a New book but a used book though they don't do anything about it

It`s not stealing, sometimes I will get a book from the library and read without checking it out, it just is reading a book you haven`t
read, you don`t have to buy a book to read it.

I was just thinking about that myself!!! Seriously!!! No, I don't think that it would be considered stealing...just a bit odd that you would be there all day and for the rest of the week or whatever to finish the book. You would definitely attract attention...I don't even know if they could kick you out of the store for that.....?

No I don't think it's stealing because you didn't take the book out of the store with out paying for it.

Wish I'd thought of that. You have a good thing going there. I'm going to do that the next time I go to the book store.

Than the same would be, if you go through any Magazine in
a store or grocery store while waiting in line!
I think you can do that, cause they want you there and
find something you might like!
Part of the Service ,I guess.

no, because like one of the other answerers said, it has to go out of the store unpaid for. and i wish i could read that fast! i usually only read a book once and that's it so i just check them out from the library.
