Lady K,
This is a question I have often confronted myself. I find that different people have different solutions to this problem. Bottom line is anyone who writes: whether you are a poet, novelist, or student, is going to have writer's block. Many people go off and do something totally different. I myself find going on a walk by myself, and saying words or lines aloud can really help me with this problem.
One of my good friends who is a very successful short story writer listens to music. And i think if you look throughout history you will see some writers have some very unusual methods, such as drinking or sex to fix this problem.
bottom line is I think you need to understand who you are and what is most likely to take you out of your problem.

Okay, first: you don't have to be a poet to get writer's block, I never write poems but stories and I get writer's block.
Second: Watch TV. Read a book. Some how get an Epiphany and write it down!

Get up and do something entirely different when you get writer's block. Always carry a notebook with you, so when key words or phrases or ideas pop into your head, you are ready to capture them. When I get writer's block, it doesn't matter what I do to divert myself. Sometimes I wash dishes, sit out on the balcony, or take a shower. It will come to you. Good luck!

I take a walk outside with my music on. And I see people and I think about what's going on in their lives and so I can get rid of writer's block.

it,relax,and recharge yourself.

I stop. I don't recomend it.
Maybe you could do free-writing for a few minutes. Write about the first topic that comes to your head, no stopping, for five minutes.
