I dont think age has anything to do with it. Im 32, never had cramps till I was at least 25. Mine were pretty bad too but after going on birth control I rarely have them anymore.
See you doctor so she can rule out anything serious though!

I'm sorry to hear that you are experience so much discomfort during your period.
I don't know if you have tried using over the counter pills such as pamprin or midol...but, they can sometimes (especially those taken the week before and the week of your period) can help to eleviate those cramps.
Also, some girls/women find that some increase in working out, use of ThermaCare pads (warm bandages that stick to the lower abdomin and provide 8 hours of heat) can help too.
There are sometimes other causes for cramps that are REALLY severe during your period. These conditions would require the care of an OBGYN to treat. Some of those conditions can be small pin-sized cysts that attach themselves to the egg during ovulation and tend to "pop" in the fallopian tube. Other conditions can be as serious as Endometriosis.
Which, is a condition that can be looked into online.
Some women, find that taking one aspirin (like Bayer) per day seems to help. It tends to thin the blood (or, in the case of menstruation...tends to thin out blood clots that have built up in the walls of the uterus and are passed normally during our period) that can sometimes cause some painful cramping.
I hope this info helps!

everyone has a different pain level , but u can try adding a spoonful of ginger to hot tea, with 2 midols or pamprins and you will be pain free. Drink the tea every couple hours to keep the cramps from coming back. Also taking tylenol/midol whateva, a couple of days before your period, stops cramps.
