Is 153...(I'm only 12), So I'm surely smart enough, (Homeschooling), and... like i said, I never leave the house... so i havent grown much.... im only 5 foot, but haven't even grown an inch since about a year and a half ago. I really want to be at least 5' 5...if i go outside and get sun now, will i grow? I already know, blah blah blah, Vitamin D, yeah yeah yeah... but i just want to know the answer.... Please and thank you.

Don't you people know that Vitamin D gets in your skin from the sun!? Vitamin D helps you grow, I think that i may know a bit more about it than some of you...

Yes, you'll still grow.
I remember being your height at 12. Growth depends on whether you eat healthy and genetics (mostly genetics) and you sound like you eat healthy to me. I hardly ever went outside during my teen years and I still grew.

Audiogirl is wrong. I had my first period at 13. I stopped growing at the age of 18 at 5'5".

I wouldn't worry. You'll grow more. It will take time - the rest of your teen years. :)

Only if you are a plant. But you really should get out more - it's not healthy to stay cooped up. You might grow if you become more active and healthy and get some fresh air. Sunlight won't have any affect unless you aren't growing because of a vitamin D deficiency. I seriously doubt your IQ has anything to do with growing and I think you are just trying to show off. Here's a tip: go out, make some friends, learn how to interact positively with other human beings, and maybe your height won't be so much of a problem.

My two oldest sons matured early, were about 5'7" at twelve and ended up 6'3" and 6'4" but my youngest son was always small and at 12, was probably your height. Between 12 and 13 he started to grow taller. Today, he is not as tall as his older brothers but is 5'10". You have a lot of time to grow, so don't worry about it. Whether you go outside or not has nothing to do with how tall you grow but being outside is good for your general and your mental health.

yes you will grow, but not from the sun sweetheart, usually around the age 15 or 16 is when you start growing in height. It is different for everyone. Don't worry about it though, the average height for females is around 5'4 to 5'6, hope you grow tall, just be patient and it will happen. Getting outside more is a good idea though, it's good to get fresh air.....hope i helped bye

Stand in a bucket of miracle grow in the garden for an hour a day. You won't grow, but at least you'll be outside. Also, try lowering your i.q. it's very intimidating.

How tall you are has more to do with genetics than anything else. You staying in the house isn't going to stunt your growth and you sunbathing isn't going to make you grow super tall. Look at your parents and you will probably be about as tall as they are or somewhere in between.

You should go outside no matter how tall you are or for what reason you don't go.
But I don't think just going outside is going to make you grow, you a human being not a plant.

You may grow more, especially if you are a boy (Sorry, I can't tell from your name). It sounds cheesy, I know, but you should really concentrate on growing on the inside. A great personality and a kind heart will stand out more than a great bod. I don't think 5'5" is so short anyhow (I'm 5'2").

All of us need light and fresh air, plus healthy nutrition whether we're Mensa material or mentally challenged. Get outside, girl!
