I am a born again christian man, you may know me from christian chat:28

I am a newer convert but I still have trouble with people of african american descent. Ever since a woman african american pushed me for walking in front of her and said I was a demon. I haven't been over to get rid of may racism or stop my involvement in the Ku Klux Klan.

and therein lies the problem with christianity, Love thy neighbour (unless they beleive different things to you, or look different to you, or look at you in a funny way. If this was a serious question, mate, you gotta get away from the evil suckers you are hanging around with. If it was just a funny thought that crossed your mind, be very careful in future, glib comments like that could get you into a lot of trouble.... that is absolutely not intended as a threat, a friend of mine said somestupid stuff on a chat sight recently and ended up getting arrested for it... He is still awaiting trial and until he can proove that he was just being an idiot (with no connection to the nasty people he was trying to impress), he has a lot of his life on hold.

Racism is learned behavior and the only way to change it is learn something different. I was very prejudiced against whites, but now I try and control my behavior by looking at my reasoning for feeling that way. I was treatly very unfairly by a lot of white people in my life, but I had t realize that all white people weren't bad. I started to reverse my own separation from them and found a lot of new friends. We also have race discussions with each other to try and stamp out stereotypes and misunderstandings. I have been enlightened by a lot of people here too.

in every race, there are people who are rude and unaware of themselves or how to act, there is a great anger in many african americans and it has been burned into them through the torcher they have survived. so on one hand you must be understanding of the reverse racism, because people, just people dont know how to manager their pain. it comes out in anger. and there is a lot of pain. Dont get involved in hate, it eats you up inside. because no matter how you think, we are all the same kind of people, the kind of people that have uncontrolable emotions and at times, hurt other people. So easily, a person who hates can hate you, and then you wonder where to go, whos arms to fall into. educate yourself on what it means to be marked as a "black".

I really dont have an answer to this but I do think that if you have felt a certain way or believed something all your life, it is a hard thing to change. Specially if you have been involved in a group that has hatred for other races. But I do comend you on your choice that you are making to change your ways, and good luck to you.

Start looking at each individual as an individual. Either you like them or you don't like them based on their personality, behavior, etc... It has nothing to do with color, it has to do with attitudes. You must be in contact with people of other races through your job or church, library, grocery store, some place... Be friendly, make a friend or two who you normally wouldn't have considered making friends with. Learn that we are all people with our own likes and dislikes and it really doesn't matter what color our skin is.

If you realize you are racist then you really don't have as big a problem as 99% of racists. Now about that Ku Klux Klan thing....???

Think in this: you and I,and everybody in this planet Earth are simple humans beings.when you and I, and the rest of human beings in this planet die,all will rest at the cemetery,(whatever is your country, place you live or race. When you think in that, you need to be humble and recognize, that we are only humans beings, who were born, live and die. There is not difference for nobody in those real facts. So,be a racist is only an illusion,a game's mind;that help us in nothing_ only create hate and division between all poor human beings.Remember Hitler,he killed millions of people, for what?,for nothing, where is Hitler now?,he is dead at the cemetery. Now,If you are a christian, you need to love your neighbour, does matter which country your neighbour is.The Bible say we are new in mind, behaviour and thinking.Be a racist only give us hate. And what we need in this planet is: to live in peace, love, understanding, and tolerance. You are a child of God,forget it about racism.Racism is a trap which create hate and wars, around the world.Good question.God bless you.

just constantly remind yourself that every person isn't the same. i've met lots of nice african american people and lots of bad ones, just like with every other race.
also, try putting yourself in an african american's shoes. what if a white person bumped into them and they decided to treat ALL white people, even you, like crap.
i'm trying to help you not be rude so please take my advice seriously. hope this helps and good luck!
