some people do burn pine in fireplaces it has a lot of sap and can clog up on your pipes you should have your chimney cleaned out every year because they can get gummed up and a fire can start at the wrong end been there done that

My next door neighbor is the chimney fire king! He works for the town and has access to all the crap wood that folks cut out of their yard. He brings it home and Burns it, WHITE PINE and all.
At least twice a year the fire dept. pays him a visit because his chimney is looking like the 4th OF JULY!
It is kind of funny, but scary all at the same time. He has survived these fires for a lifetime, but I hate to see winter and his chimney start to bellow all the same.

I would always use pine kindling(lumber), but don't use any pine branches or logs. You'll get too much buildup in your chimney.
Always burn hardwoods for heat as well as a clean flue.

No because it gives off too much creasote and will eventually clog the flue. A piece or two wouldn't kill you though.

Not a good idea. Soots up your chimney too much.

No, the sap will cause a chimney fire.

No...the resin will gum up your chimney.

no...... you will create a big mess that can cause many of your vents/flu's and such to malfunction
