photosynthesis uses light (in greek "photo" means light)
photography uses light in taking pictures.

I dont see any relation between the two. As far as i know, photosynthesis is a completely different process in which plants make their own food by the help of light and CO2.

in photosynthesis, light is taken in order to create food for a plant
in photography, a camera takes in light in order to capture a picture

the prefix "photo" means light
