I'm wearing a solid black, long sleeved, collared dress shirt, untucked with faded blue jeans and brown shoes. Should I wear black socks or white socks. I am so not fashion savvy. Thanks for any suggestions. I'm a 30 year old male by the way.

You really shouldn't wear brown shoes, but if you must at least wear them with black socks.

As a huge fashion "nut", I highly reccommend wearing black socks. As the fashion "snobs" like me will tell you the 1st rule of fashion is NEVER wear white socks with a nice button down shirt no matter what you wear on the bottom. White socks are meant for shorts, or if you going to work out. DO you have brown socks? IT would be best also to wear matching brown with brown. But ya know what, if you are going to the club, nobody is going to look down and say your socks don't match your shirt!

Black and brown don't go together. You really should wear black shoes with a black top. Don't wear white socks.

socks should as a rule )for guys at least= be the same color as the pants

well i wouldn't wear brown shoes in the first place, but if those are the only ones you have, wear black socks

Black socks,definitely. And I would reccomend black shoes, if you can. And also, you may want to reconsider the faded jeans. If they are the wrong shade then they will look bad with dark colors.

brown does not go with black! you should wear black socks, and black shoes. ladies seem to see mis-matched style more than men. so don't go on a date like that. =) my fiance does the same thing every day. so good question to ask.

unbutton the first 2 couple of buttons to the shirt, and black socks. Thats a pretty hot outfit.Good Luck!

black socks. you dont want to look like michael jackson. Its best to find brown socks though
