1. The amount of advance time depends on the community college. Check with the admissions office of the college you want to attend. Sometimes it can be around 9 months, sometimes you can still apply the first day of classes.

2. You can theoretically transfer to another community college for your second year. Again, check the transfer policy of the new community college. Sometimes there are residency requirements, sometimes there are restrictions on which credits will transfer, and sometimes the AA degree requirements differ. It's usually easiser to finish the 2 years at a single community college and then transfer to a 4 year college.

3. Again, SAT requirements will vary from school to school, and you need to check with your specific school.

Apply several months in advance, just like a regular college. Call them and ask what's the time line for an application.

Yes, you can transfer your credits to another college.

Most all colleges require the SAT or ACT test results.

These questions can only be answered by the institution you want to apply to. Each college is different and have different requisites and deadlines. The community college I went to here in Houston, TX accepted me the same day I applied and registration was based on my ability to pay tuition and the transfer of transcripts to the institution which takes less than 2 weeks. I had to take the TASP test once for college here in Texas and I maxed it.
So get up tomorrow and contact the school you want to attend and ask them these questions and get specific answers.
