I have been craving a lot spinach & steak with this pregnancy, expecting twins. And, now that the stores have taken the salad spinach off the shelf, I've switched to creamed spinach.I'll eat a spinach souffle for breakfast (I think it's Stouffer's tv dinner style.) They not only help keep my iron level up, but I don't crave pasta or bad carbs at all. I drink a great deal of water, every time I think about it. I know that my babies need a lot of water to grow. My glucose test came back perfect, and my weight gain has been in excellent ranges.

I also switched to eating cut up chicken breast, I like Perdue's "short cuts" - instead of eating lunch meat. I eat this on whole wheat, and it's great for when I'm on the go.

It's been a rough pregnancy, having 5 kids already - and now waiting on twins. I have been very careful of what I eat, to make sure that I don't have the carb hi's & lows, and eat good foods that help keep my energy up.

I have found that eating more protein, and less carbs keeps me not starving, keeps me eating regular, and keeps me & my unborn twins healthy. I stay away from the things that do them absolutely no good - like soda & coffee, things that are high in sugar & carbs. I feel better, as a mother, that my unborn twins can depend on me to nourish them with the things that they need.

And, 29 weeks pregnant - each of them weigh 2 lbs, 14 oz and are very healthy so I know that I"m doing a good job!

Last night I wanted shrimp & grits sooooo bad, and it wasn't what had been cooked. I thought, no problem, I'll have it for breakfast. Then when I woke up I knew I'd be sick if I had to eat shrimp & grits! We postponed it until late lunch. I know what you mean about not knowing what you want until it's too late. Southern shrimp & grits with a little cheese is good though!

My other favorite is a fast food happy meal--I know it's not that healthy, but I've been feeling sick when I get the least bit hungry and that heavy food makes me feel good for a couple of hours. So that's what I'll be eating several times a week until I get over morning sickness!

I crave for Ice cream all the time, especially the one with nuts. But, a good eating habit is very important. You should balance out your meal and should eat on time. Otherwise, it will turn to bad complications in your later pregnancy.

When I was pregnant with my boys one day I would love something the next it would make me barf so my husband who got tired of constantly running to the store for my ever changing cravings had a great idea, he went to the store and bought a little of every thing I may want,You know something salty, sweet, sour, chewy, and so on, and one or two pieces of every kind of my fav fruits. That way although we may not of had exactly what I wanted I could always find something pretty close.

You see that's why you are pregnant. You see something succulent and you have cravings and you are never satisfied.

Sounds like it is a mental thing ask your dr to refer you to a dietician for help. Sometimes the old saying eating for 2 will catch up with you in the end and cause a hard time getting back in shape
