Give him a date to have it ALL removed..tell him that he either moves it or it is going to the curb...and stick to it. HE can rent locker space if he wants it. As long as his stuff is there, you do not have freedom. The key here is STICK TO WHAT YOU SAY. Have the cars towed away if he does not move them. I would follow this up with a written certified letter AND keep a copy with the delivery noted as signed by him...just in case he pulls a fast one and tries to sue you when he doesn't remove the junk. Good luck

tell your ex to get a storeage unit some where or you could get a soteage unit for him and put his things in there and tell him to pay the bill and if he dont pay it then the storeage place will have a sale with his things. and as for the cars call the law and tell them the cars have been there over 30 days and the cars are not yours, the law will mark the tires and after 72 hours the cars are out of there.

Double-check with your lawyer first. Here's what I'd do.
1) rent storage unit
2) hire movers
3) have movers put all items including cars into the storage unit.
4) pay one month of the storage cost
5) pay movers
6) Send him the key to the storage shed and tell him you have paid to the end of the month
7) Dust off your hands and walk away

Seems like he's had plenty of time to find someplace to put it. He's probably counting on your generosity. It isn't your problem any more, I'd tell him you want the room cleared out by a certain date, ( a week from now) and if all isn't gone,. it goes to the salvation army along with the cars. Watch him find a place for it. Stand your ground! His problems aren't yours any more, make a break.

There should be an order in the divorce laying all of this out. If not, consult your lawyer and see what you can do. If you run out of options, there's always putting it out on the front lawn. If he has two cars he can afford to rent a storage unit.

Tell him to get his stuffs out by one week or else you will throw them away. Same with the cars. Don't be too nice to him or else the stuffs and the cars will be there forever.

Consult an attorney. Unfortunately, this kind of thing can turn on YOU if you handle it wrong. I believe if you send him a certified letter with 30 days notice to retrieve his things, that's more than reasonable, but please check. I know it's hard when it's an ex-husband and considering he's been nice so far. But, it sounds like he's taking advantage of your kindness at this time. Enough is enough.

Check your local laws...in the state I live in that would be looked at as abandoned property and would be yours...If thats the case and you haven't signed any papers stating that you will keep it for him...then I say HAVE A SALE GIRLFRIEND ! Then go to the mall and get some good stuff for you and your household.

Tell him that he has a month to get the rest of his stuff or you're going to A) sell it OR B) give it to good will. If he says he doesn't have a place for it... give him the number of a storage place.

My son is going through a divorce right now and asked his attorney the same question. She said to give an ultimatum, give a certain date to have everything out or you will have it hauled away. If he doesn't comply, then have it hauled away.
