I can SEE the videos on Myspace, but can't Hear them and I can't hear the music on peoples profiles?PleaseHelp

This never happened before. The only thing diff. about today is that my cable modem is not working and I'm somehow still getting the internet, possibly from a neighbor? But....my laptop downstairs is playing myspace videos and music just fine so it's something to do w/ my desktop settings or something. Could it be my settings on Windows Media Player or ActiveX or Virus or Firewall. I turned my Pop up Blocker off so I don't know what else to do. On other websites I can see videos and hear them, but not on myspace. Thanks for your help.

Go to control panel and click on audio and make sure the sound is not muted. I had to do that this past week. I have no idea why it was muted because i have never changed it.
