Which films have made you genuinely shed a tear?
Million Dollar Baby for me. I wasn't the only one in the cinema either. You could actually here a couple of people sobbing.

I think I meant 'hear' and not 'here' firstly. Doh! But Bambi is the all time classic teary film and The Green Mile was a real tear jerker too as far as I'm concerned so good calls both of them.

The only film that really makes me shed buckets at the end is The Elephant Man...the whole portrayal of John/Joseph Merrick's life is so painful. I think it was David Lynch's best film...it really conjures up the feel of the Victorian era so well. John Hurt's performance was amazing and Anthony Hopkins was brilliant too. That end scene, after all the turmoil in his life, not even being able to lay down on a bed and just so wanting to know how that feels for once in his life (that was not an actual documented event) just makes me wail like I never do with any other film, no matter how sad/romantic/tragic it may seem.

When I saw Titanic at the pictures when the life boats were calling for any survivors you could hardly hear the film because of all the tissue packets rustling and the sniffling of people - including me
My wife wasn't fazed by 'the moment'
Growing up Tcouldn't watch a Lassie film without blubbering like a freshly dumped prom queen
other films that made shed a tear were
Green Mile
ET
Bambi

Shindler's List - sobbed for nearly the whole 2+ hour movie along with everyone else in the theatre.
Terms of Endearment - every dang time - especially when Shirley Maclain, the mom, frantically demands pain medicine for her daughter.
The Notebook - when the wife suddenly doesn't remember her husband while dancing.

Beaches with Bette Midler does it for me everytime. Theres so much out there that make me cry. I love all the true movies you see on Sky television. Usually on a Saturday night, you can find me and my daughter on the sofa complete with Galaxy Chocolate and a box of tissues, sobbing our hearts out to some film.

Lots of movies make me really cry, but the one I remember most(don't know why) is at the end of The Green Mile. It just breaks me up every time!
