The discomfort will start in my lower back and travel down to my legs and start itching to where I can't jog anymore.

Actually I did have this problem, but no burning & itching. My whole left leg was hurting for too long so I went to the doctor. I was told it did sound like a pinch nerve so I received a prescription. That pain isn't there now, took a couple of weeks.
Lay of the jogging, maybe take hot baths.
Also ask your doc about getting exercises for your back. I threw out my back after I had to move 3 times in 3 weeks. Got referred to a specialist who helped me with the back problems. Stretch all your body and do some back exercises.

I have this same problem. My legs will turn bright red and itch and burn...sometimes my hands do this as well. I have been to every doctor possible--first doc said I had what is called Rynoids phenomenon...nope. Vascular surgeon ran extensive tests..found nothing, and then finally just told me that it was poor circulation that didn't present itself until under physical stress. Their only suggestion was to keep up the intesity level on my excercise to increase my circulation. But I have to say that sometimes it burns so bad that I can't. Hope you find a more definite answer than I have.

It sounds like inflamed nerves, but I am not a doctor. An anti-inflammatory will help. If it starts in your lower back, could well be
sciatica which can be relieved by adjusting lower back area by a qualified chiropractor.

See a doctor, it sounds like either a nerve pinch or poor circulation. He'll run a couple easy tests and let ya know.

I was going to say it's your sweat, but if it only "attacks" you from your lower back, then it could be a blood circulation thing. Call your doctor.

I dunno. Never heard of "jooging" before. Can't be much of a help! I wonder if your insurance will cover it. LOL Just joking with you! :0)
