I live in manchester, uk. i need to get a passport to fly to the united states. ASAP Does anyone know anything i need to know getting a passport... cost? time? age? anything about them if u know anything please tell. where do i need to go and call to get one.?

In the USA it costs about $15 for your passport picture and around another $90 for the passport itself. You need to go to the postoffice or Federal courthouse with birth certificate. It can take a few weeks before you then actually get it. I have been told if you need it in a sooner amount of time you can pay another $100 and they put a rush on it. I'm not sure on age but I believe if your under age 18 you also would need a parent with you.

I know that U.K only need a passport only if they should stay for a certain amount of days. Sometimes you may need a visa.

Go to your countries US embassy. They can give you all the information there. That is where you would receive the passport.
