The first step is to stop what you are doing. If you feel like you are on a runaway train that is headed for a crash against a wall. The first step is STOP. Look at the situation from outside yourself. If you feel under pressure because of your family, peers, spouse, job or anything else get away from it from it for some time. You don't need to explode, you don't need to supress. Get into surroundings where you feel relaxed. You can try mentally picture emptying yourself like pulling the plug in a sink. Try and understand why you feel this way. If you know the reason then ask yourself what you must do to stop feeling this way. It doesn't matter who or what you are facing. Your friends may get upset with you, your boss may fire you, but the most important thing they are not caring about is you. If you are a shy person and people don't know what you like or dislike they will dump on you - not because they dont care but because they dont know. Make yourself heard. It's really difficult to give an answer without knowing more. If you feel really out of it and the above doesn't help go see a psychotherapist - it will be good to get counselling. Don't think there is anything wrong with you mentally. You have to find the psychological tools to deal with your tension. A psychotherapist will help.

All the best!

Suppress, then handle it privately. Target practice, batting cages, swimming.....Then when you have exhausted yourself and slept sit yourself down and ponder what you need to change. Maybe the next morning ponder how to go about it and slowly work yourself into motion. Healthy motion to move you from your present situation.

I believe that it's better to suppress. You still need to handle situations as they come up, but you don't have to yell at people or throw things, etc.

Do breathing exercises. Close eyes, think of what you want to internalize ("peace" for instance), and of what you want to let go ("stress" maybe) and on breathing in, think Peace, on breathing out think Stress. Nice and easy, no hurry, no counting, no thinking, relax..... and keep breathing.
