no i don't think it's weird espcially if you haven't been on a lot of antibiotics and you try to stay healthy... I've never had one either THANK GOD! I'm pretty sure if we got one we would know as my mother was always really uncomfortable when she got one. They dont' go away on their own very quickly i think you have to get meds and creams etc... yes wearing cotton down there is a good way to keep things healthy.

Sometimes you do not know if you have a yeast infection. I have gone to the gyno before and have been told that I had some yeast but there was no itching present. But they can clear up on their own, so if you do not have any abnormal discharge I would not worry about it.
Cotton panties are said to reduce the chance of yeast infections because they are more breathable than silk or other materials which could cause sweat and moisutre build-up, which would create a perfect environment for yeast.
So I wouldn't worry, not everyone has a yeast infection. Hope this helps!

Mostly men carry the problems to you. I am 62 and have never had a yeast infection. I understand that natural Ph of the vaginal area also has a lot to do with yeast infections. The closer your PH is to neutral, the least likely you are to have an infection. Acid PH is also better than alkaline. Most yeast infections do not go away. I have heard that a vinegar douche usually works but there is also over the counter medication for infections.

Definitely would know from the itching. It does not go away alone. If you get one go to your Dr. first. To make sure thats what it is. After that you'll know. Then you can go to your local drugstore and buy over the counter stuff. You are very fortunate not to ever had one. Don't know about cotton panties or liners

no this is not weird if you're not confusing this with an STD cause a yeast infection isnt one. some ppl just dont get them the ph level in the vagina is always normal there are no factors present for a yeast infection and yes if it's mild enough you can have one and have it clear up beforeyou know it and wearing cotton panties no use of tampons and not using perfumed or scented body washes, gels soaps can cut your risk of a yeast infection count yourself lucky as these things can be nasty and not treated properly can reinfect over and over again

You're lucky. Cotton panties help, but liners don't allow ventilation that you need.

You will definitely know!! Go see your gyno since this is your first time. It will not go away on it's own.
