People who try to act cool by saying "I love greenday..the old stuff"................................wtf.................................I blame it on the over exposure of the so called "punk scene." You got all these "punk" bands getting ridiculous amounts of mtv airtime and all the little 12-15 yr olds jumping with joy everytime FOB or Panic! comes out with a new video. Its gotten to the point that the real fans you were supporting the bands before they made it big are all being placed into the same little wannabe category with those young teens if they admit to liking any of these bands. Theyve become the boy bands of our day, plain and simple..and it all needs to stop. Give the little girls back their backstreet guys and insink and let the real fans have their music back free of TRL shout outs and Hot Topic merchandise. PLEASE!! (ps..sorry if this made little sense lol)

I don't think Greenday is the new backstreet, but they are definately more commericial then they used to be. They still kick a@@ though...

More annoying would be asking this question! You sound like you are upset because Greenday made it big. And you probably think that a band is only good if they are obscure, and can't stand the fact that people outside you idea of "cool" like the same type of music as you. Get over it!
