I think that I could become great at it if I just gave alot of hardwork and dedication though and what better to do to get better at math than major in it? So I was wondering what do you all think I should do?

If you don't like it, don't do it. Plus....if you are not good at it....LOL....probably not a good idea.

if you are not good at math, find it boring, then major in a field which you ARE good at and LIKE. If the only reason you want to be a math major is because you want the pay, then, as far as I know, most mathematicians have very little source of income and are NOT rich men and women. if you want to major in math because you want to be better at it, then find a tutor, buy some textbooks and study them, or work harder in class. You dont' need to major in a field to get better at it. If I wanted to get better at football, would I join the NFL? Nope, I would just work out at the local gym or play with my friends in the yard. Do you see how silly your logic was? :)

You may just get frustrated and end up changing your major anyway. Find something you like and that you are good at and make that your major. You'll have to take some math courses along the way, anyway, so try to do your best at those courses and see what happens.

You have to think about your ultimate goal. What career are you planning on pursuing? If it requires Math, then Yes you will have to take it.

What would you become if you Majored in Mathematics?? Then you would go on to get a Master's in Physics, engineering, Finance ?

You have to 'think'.... get some help from your school career counselor. Research, talk to some Mathematics professors.

it's good that you have a good work ethic. Perhaps you can minor in math instead but I must say, i'm a math teacher and the math that you would have to do would be extremely hard. there were times when i felt like giving up but whatever decision you make, i hope you succeed.

Don't have to be a math major to become better at it. IF you hate math why would you want to spend time on it when there are other career choices you'd be happier with.

Well...... I suppose that's one way of looking at it. But if you don't like it are you *really* going to spend the amount of time it takes to get good at it? Honestly?

In reality you'll probably just piss away a bunch of money that you'd get a lot more mileage out of if you spent it getting a degree in something that you really liked.

Not enjoying math doesn't make you a bad person ☺

The question is, do you want to be good at math? If you really want to be good at it, then it will be fun to study it and improve, so go for it. If you think of math as dull, hard work, then find something else that you do like!

No, you should not major in Mathematics if you do not like it and very bad at it.

Absolutely not, unless you are planning a career as a math teacher.

Are you serious? No!
1) You hate math, which means you will hate your job.
2) You're not good at math, which means you'll flunk.
