Car commercials usually have wet streets or track to drive on? There are at least two reason; what are they?

Because wet streets look sleeker and it makes the car look safer/able to handle on wet slippery roads.


Skidding/hot and sexy!

It reflects the car.

Wet steets look better on camera than dry pavement. They photograph darker and richer that way. It also allows a certain amount of reflection of the car, which also looks photogenic.
The exception to this would be when they shoot on a dry lakebed in the desert, like El Mirage or Cuddyback.
