like when i turn my computer on the messenger comes on and people see it and i dont want that to happen

Disable Autostart Feature

> Open Windows Messenger
> Click 'Tools' menu on toolbar
> Click 'Options' to open properties window
> Select 'Preferences' tab
> Uncheck 'Run Windows Messenger when Windows starts'
> Click 'OK' to close properties window
> Click 'File' menu on toolbar
> Click 'Sign Out' and 'Exit'

Simply unplug the cord that connects you to the internet...for example, your phone line, or your network cable. But the better thing to do is to change the settings on the messenger that you're using. Put it on Private, or usually messenger settings also have a setting where you can show to be offline, but yet still see who else is online. Check around in the settings, options, or preferences in your messenger program is my best answer.

Go to the Run box type in msconfig choose the startup tab and uncheck the box that says Yahoo Messenger. click ok and it will not load the next time you start your computer.

Whatever program is doing this (Yahoo, AIM, Messenger) all have an option for ruinning on startup and auto login. Go to the preferences and turn if ott.

Is it just conecting you in a specific program such as messenger or all together. This can be changed under prefrences sounds like it's set to automatically sign ya in

you can solve your problem with chacking your start up.
(run->(type)msconfig->change check boxes)
