Abortion AKA murder. The reason so many people are for it is simple. It takes away responsibilities for your actions. I think most people try not to think about what they are actually doing when they get an abortion. The liberals try to make it seem okay with words like " fetus " instead of unborn baby and a " women's right " instead of murder. Call it what you want but it's the same result either way. Millions of babies that would had a chance at life have had that chance taken from them. Where was their choice? It's curious that someone alive and trying to live as long as they can would be so willing to take that opportunity away from somebody else.

I am for abortion rights for women who are pro choice.

Does that mean I will have one? No.

Just means if those females who choose to have an abortion, than so be it. It is not my life, not my body nor my business.

Adoption ISN'T always the answer since adoption can be worse in the situation (as there is kids and adults who state that from the adoption service/foster care). If there was so many familes wanting to adopt, then why do we have a foster care system? Why do we have children being murdered by foster care staff or adoptive parents? Why should an unwanted child be birthed into parents who will most likely abuse them? See it daily...

Religion should NOT be the factor in deciding if legal or not. Religion is so diverse, there is no way one religion has a right over another. Because you believe in hell and sin does not mean the female next to you believes in it. It is a mythical theory, not a fact.

As far as protection. From plannedparenthood studies found, that more than half of the abortions conducted are from MARRIED and PROTECTION used sex. Therefore this whole "You should of used protection" is just plain ignorant! Nothing is 100% and sex doesn't equal to being a baby making machine.

As far as abortion term. I do think that anything more than 16 weeks is too far developed. If a women finds out she is pregnant at 8 weeks along. Her waiting 16 more weeks to decide if she wants an abortion or not is absolutely wrong. She has enough time to decide if this is an unwanted pregnancy or unplanned but wanted.

It's not right, but I'm pro-choice. I'd rather someone have an abortion then have an unwanted child thats going to be neglected possibly abused and being supported by the state. In cases of rape, i personally would have one. I couldnt imagine raising something that came from a monster. Nor could i live with myself knowing they would be out there in the world (adopt it out). I think a persons reasons for whether they get one or not is all on them. You never know what kinda life they live or what they can or cant do for a child they are bringing into the world. No it's not a form of birth control, and i disagree with people who believe it is, but at the same time, what business is it of mine? And i dont think it should be made illegal. Can we say back alleys and coat hangers?

Get a copy of "Iffy's Manual of Obstetrics and Perinatology" and then look up the photograph of "epignathus" and tell me that you would force the mother to bring that baby to term because you oppose abortion. There are legitimate medical reasons for abortions - just because you don't know they exist doesn't mean they are wrong. I'm against not telling people how to NOT get pregnant in the first place. Abortion is never a good thing, but 40% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, and the medical term for this is... "(spontaneous) abortion"... so 40% of all pregnancies end in abortion, making "nature" the biggest abortionist of them all. Its a lot more complicated of an issue than you seem to think it is.

I am pro-choice. Being pro-choice is not an admission that abortion is right, but, that women should have a right to choose what happens with their reproductive health.

In theory, abortion is wrong and a destruction of life. But, the general public has to know that abortion must and should remain legal to insure the health of all women.

I would hate to see what would happen if Roe versus Wade was ever reversed. Illegal abortions are horrible and can result in cruel deaths!

More over, choice is about prevention and women need to educate themselves and know that choice also includes birth control and abstinence.

In general, I am against abortion. However, I do have to admit it did go through my head when my girlfriend became pregnant. But, I thank God we made the right decision and now we are enjoying the love, laughs and tears that our 3-year-old son has given us.

Nevertheless, when it comes to a girl who has been a victim of rape, I would agree if she decided to abort. I simply don't think it is fair for her or the resulting baby. I know this might not make me win the ten points, but it is my what I think.

Yes I am against it. I believe that life starts at conception so therefore terminating the pregnancy results in murder.

I also think that it should not be done with murder and incest. These things do not change the humanity of the baby. It's not the baby's fault that they were the result of an unfortunate event so why kill them? I know it is traumatic on the mother but if there is no danger to her life (which is the ONLY reason I think abortion is permissable) she should go ahead and have the baby and give him/her up for adoption.

Also, when doctors say the baby will be retarded, they don't ever know for sure. And why kill a retarded baby? Again, punishing the child for something that is not its fault is wrong.

Many people believe that Roe vs. Wade legalized abortion in the US. It did NOT. It legalized abortion on demand. These same people argue that women would die because they can't abort. Again NOT true.

The facts are simple, abortion has been a medical procedure since the invent of the medical practice. It was frequently referred to as a "D & C". It was not something doctors handed out like lolly pops but it has always been recognized as an option when the health of the mother is at stake. The Roe vs. Wade decision made post conception contraception the law of the land.

It has always struck me as ironic that many of the same people who would gladly kill their own unborn child will march in protest at the execution of a death row inmate. Nothing I can think of is more vulnerable than an unborn child and nothing more evil than a man who would kill two 17 year old kids and eat their "fast food lunch" while surveying his handiwork. Incidental, he lived longer after his deed than the kids did before it.

While it is the law of the land and I am powerless to change that, there is no law that requires I participate in it. Additionally there is no law requiring me to help candidates that do support it, and I don't.

In my state of South Dakota we are going to vote in November to make it illegal and I'm all for that. God has plans for every single baby concieved and many women use abortion as birth control. So as part of our law, only if the woman's life is danger, ex: a tubal pregnancy, then she may have an abortion. I really pray that this law passes so that we can end this horrible legal massacre. God Bless.

It depends on the situation. If a girl is raped it should be her choice if she wants to have an abortion or not, ir in cases of incest, because that can cause severe retardation in the baby. If the mother's life is in danger also. I don't believe it should be used as a form of birth control, but I won't judge someone who has it done because it is none of my business. I just can't believe that someone is totally IGNORANT to think that a girl that is RAPED by her own dad or brother should be made to give birth to their child! You give someone a bad rating because you think they should be forced to do so!? What would you do if you were raped by your own father???!!
