I found out that I had cancer again and this time it's terminal. I put together a cd of songs that I could give to my 4 best friends as something they will always have to remind them of just how much they had meant to me. We had beens friends since grade school. Some of the songs on the cd were songs we had all liked and listened to while crusing around but some of them were songs to let them know how much they had meant to me. Alot of time went into to the finding the perfect songs with lyrics that stated what was in my heart...hope this helps you

There are a whole slew of songs you could sing.
"Thank you for being a friend" from the Seventies is one. On her birthday you could sing any one of the "Happy Birthday" songs.
If you have a good voice, and if I were your friend, I wouldn't mind hearing whatever you feel like singing. I once had a lover who was an opera diva. Whatever she sang, I don't care what it was, it was wonderful to listen to.
