The FIRST TIME she sang Rainbow on Idol was probably one of the most amazing performances I have ever seen on the show. It gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes! But I had replayed my tape (I record all the shows) so many times that by the time she sang it again the last week it had lost some of its brilliance. I think Simon had basically the same opinion too. She also sang it again in her set on the live tour, and it had nowhere near the impact it did on the show. The first time she sang it on the show was the jewel, and I don't think it will ever sound the same again unless they can recreate that original magic in the studio for her.

I liked her performance, but wasn't she just using Eva Cassidy's version of the song, with perhaps a little more "flash" to it?
