I am studying Education and Psychology in Ireland and I am expected to submit a final year project in 18months but I have no idea what kind of things people studying Educational Psychology would even do-any ideas? I just want to get started on a little research because it takes me a long time to decide on things because i am a bit of a perfectionist! Thanks

The easiest thing to get you started is to look in the Thesis section of the university library. There, you'll find STARTING POINTS and IDEAS that you could use to develop your own final project. Obviously you can't copy the idea from another project, but you can see where other students focused.
Educational Psychology is a really broad area. Think about a class you liked and explore themes around that course. Were you interested in counselling? Special education? Peer helping? Career planning? Cognitive / social / emotional development? Multicultural education?
Right now I am really interested in ways to create positive experiences for students who have recently arrived in my country with little/no English language skills. I'm focusing a lot of my in-class research and reflection around that subject. You've really just got to figure out what interests you. Your passion for the subject will be reflected in your mark.
