I'm with Zombie_togo on this one. Douglas Adams was right.

Dolphins ARE smarter than us. They've been trying to teach us things that could save the world, but we're too dumb to give them any better communication devices than beach balls and rancid sea bass. What they require is Hooked On Phonics, a Funk and Wagnall's Dictionary, and a waterproof dolphin-friendly keyboard hooked up to a mainframe computer. They'll be talking to us in no time. That is, the intelligent, well meaning ones will.

Of course, there are inbred hillbilly dolphins and young punk dolphins, just like with any other culture. These dolphins will order pizzas from Domino's and Pizza Hut with anchovies, with no intention of being at that address to pay for them. They'll call you when they're drunk or high on kelp and it will be a wrong number, but they'll still try to pick a fight. They'll want you to meet them at such-and-such a place in a bikini or a speedo. They'll call you and ask if you have Charlie the Tuna in a can, then why the phucque don't you let him out? God forbid they start in on all that racist ***** about Japanese net-fishermen or Louisiana cajuns. And all their problems are caused by the lazy-@ssed porpoises who lay around all day on fishfare, or sneaking over here from the Gulf of Mexico or the Indian Ocean, taking their jobs away from them. You can always tell hillbilly dolphins by all the unmowed seaweed around their nests, and the huge pile of deflated beach balls and old tires piled around their grottos.

Most dolphins just want to swim around and have a good time, living their entire lives without ever bothering anybody. And who can blame them? But there are saintly dolphins who will do their best to help us. We just have to quit sneaking up on them in their sleep with tuna nets, and they want the heads of all the sushi chefs thrown off a pier in Jersey City. Is that really too much to ask for all they can do for us?
